Accident/Incident Investigation header

Accidents at work are very costly, both in compensation and production loss and in the damage done to employee relations and morale. Effective investigation and reporting of accidents and near misses gives invaluable information to help businesses improve their health and safety procedures, and rectify the cause to ensure that the problem does not occur again.
This one-day course provides the practical skills required by anyone who is involved in accident or incident investigation at work.

  This course is designed for anyone who is or may be involved in accident or near miss (incident) reporting and investigation at work, including Facilities Managers and health and safety staff.
  What Skills and Information will they learn? header
  After successfully completing this course, participants will:
 
red dot Understand what accidents and incidents are (including near misses) and how they are caused
red dot Understand the reasons for reporting and investigating accidents and incidents
red dot Be able to carry out an accident investigation at work and recommend improvements to prevent it happening again
red dot Understand the main legal requirements, including the Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 1995 (RIDDOR).
