  This is a one day introduction course to the Guidelines for Safe Packing and Handling of Cargo to and from Offshore Locations.
  Programme:
 
red dot Safety briefing and General Introduction
red dot Introduction to the various regulations ie. Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations S12307 (1998), DNV 2.1-7, Certification Requirements for Containers, Inspection Criteria for Shipping Baskets and Containers to UK (BS EN 12079) and Norwegian Requirements
red dot Responsibilities and duties including Transportation by Road and Air, Handling of Dangerous Goods and the Safety and Security of Loads
red dot Lifting and Slinging, including Planning and Risk Assessment
red dot Inspection of containers, slings, and other associated lifting accessories
red dot Non-Conforming Cargo – Procedures and Codes
red dot General Documentation including examples of Summary Tickets, MSDS and TREM cards
red dot Dangerous Goods by Sea, introduction to the IMDG codes and definitions
red dot Waste Management
red dot Question and Answer session
  Certification:
  Company Certificate of Training on successful completion of course.
